WORKPLACE CHARGING

Installing Electric Vehicle Chargers at your workplace premises is a great opportunity to show clients, customers and staff that you have joined the green revolution. We offer the option to brand your Chargers with a company name and logo – our sleek Charger design allows ample space for branding and colour. Its a great first impression for any business, organisation or facility upon arrival at the premises.

As an employer, attracting top talent can be a challenge, hence the rise in employee benefit schemes. Adding EV charging options to your parking spaces is one more benefit that enhances the perception of your organisation.

COMMERCIAL CHARGING

As car manufacturers reduce and withdraw their diesel ranges, the range of full EV and Hybrid models is increasing. The last year has seen a major escalation by governments to incentivise Electric Vehicles as an important component of their strategy to meet emission targets. EV infrastructure including charging stations, is being rapidly developed to support these changes and there are significant opportunities for businesses.

The benefits of installing EV charging stations are far reaching. If a car owner has the option to charge their EV at your premises, they are more likely to choose you over your competitors. They are also likely to spend more time with you as they wait for their car to charge.

INSTALLING CAR CHARGERS FOR THE CO-OP

We were asked by the Co-op to install three car chargers at one of their funeral care sites.

SELECTING THE RIGHT CHARGER

We where chosen because we could take control of all aspects of the design and installation. The project involved installing three EV chargers along with all trenching works. A steel wire armoured (SWA) cable fed an external distribution board, then one SWA from the board fed each charger.

There are a lot of chargers on the market, and for this project selecting the right charger was key. The higher power chargers charge faster, and the Co-op had set a maximum charge time that they required.

GETTING THE BALANCE RIGHT

The challenge was that they required three chargers, so getting the right balance between charging times and power usage was a challenge. We used Garo car chargers for this installation, as their product best fitted the criteria.

We also took control of all ground works for this project, giving the client one point of contact for all aspects of the work.
